The Cardinals and Royals are meeting this week for their annual four games; the first two will be at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City, and the final two will be played at Busch Stadium in St. Louis.
Danny Duffy will start for the Royals in the first game of the series. Duffy faced the Mets in his last outing and allowed three earned runs through 4.2 innings. Opposing him will be Adam Wainwright. Wainwright was in charge of the Cubs in his most recent start and gave up three earned runs in 6.2 frames.
The second and final game between the two teams at Kauffman Stadium will be started by Yordano Ventura. Ventura held the Tigers in his last start, whiffing five in his outing that lasted 6.1 innings. Michael Wacha will toe the rubber for the Cardinals. Wacha held the Cubs to two earned runs on three hits in 6.2 frames of work in his last outing.
STL: Tommy Pham, outfielder. Pham has three hits in his last eleven at-bats, including two home runs against the Mariners on Sunday.
KC: Kendrys Morales, designated hitter. The Royals’ DH is blazing over his last seven games. Morales is batting .478 with three home runs and eleven RBIs in that span.
